Yeah – it looks weird. It’s called a True Stretch and it gives us an easy way to stretch out your muscles, isolate your movements, and change your movement patterns. Promise not that weird!
At True Health Osteopathy, we use a hands-on approach that focuses on treating the body as a whole, emphasizing your movement during treatment. Our primary technique, called Functional Manual Reaction™ (FMR), involves guiding your bones and muscles as you move to improve how your body functions. Unlike traditional treatments where you stay still, FMR is active—you’ll be moving while we help restore proper motion and strength. It’s great for addressing movement restrictions and helping muscles work more efficiently, especially during tasks like sports or everyday activities. This method helps your body learn to move better in real-world situations, ensuring that treatment is tailored to how you naturally move.
You will no doubt experience benefits from the first session, but it all depends on you and where you’re at and how long you’ve been experiencing health challenges or body pain.
Many clients return for the following sessions, 5 or 6 is a good average, but know that you won’t be booked in for continuing consecutive sessions without experiencing progress.
You may be familiar with being booked in on a regular monthly basis, ongoing. That’s not the case at True Health Osteopathy.
Once we’re both happy with the progress you’re making and you feel confident and comfortable to continue with some exercises at home, you won’t need to continue to keep coming back.
However, do know that you can book a time with me whenever any other health issues present or if you’re experiencing pain or discomfort.
Please don’t wear jeans or anything too “flowy”. Active wear is ideal.
If you could wear undergarments ( especially bra wise) that you don’t mind wearing on its own. I need to be able to see your back most occasions.
You will need to be able to move around a bit and jeans are just stiff and tight. You can always change when you get here if needed. The “no flowy bit” is selfishly for me. I need to be able to use my eyes for parts of your examination and this really helps me out.
